Last week the kids got a precious piece of mail. In amazing kindergarten writing, their cousin Drexten in Provo told them he missed them and wanted to come see them at our house. It meant so much to them that he was thinking of them--especially to Brooke. She carried the letter around and just glowed with being loved and being special to someone. The next morning she came bouncing in (literally) to tell me about the awesome dream she had just woken from. In her dream all her cousins were here at our house in Ohio. It was warm and green and everyone was playing outside. Everyone, even baby Ryker, was about the same age as her, though she still recognized them as being themselves. They played in the water, explored the creek and woods, and played all sorts of games together. They laughed and delighted in being together. She was so happy about her dream that she almost wanted to cry. It was a special gift, and it helped me see how much she misses them and longs for them to be here and share in her life her with her. I was so grateful for the thoughtfulness of Drexten that helped bridge the gap a bit. Ohio is a wonderful place and we are so happy to be here, but we do miss the family and hold them in our hearts from far away! And...you all have an open invitation to come play and explore with us here!!!
Oh how we LOVE you and miss you!
