Tamale Man

Brenden had an assignment for his Spanish class to make an authentic Mexican dish, and he wanted to learn to make tamales.  I have made them twice since we moved here and he has discovered that he really likes them. This was the best homework assignment I have ever helped with!  It was a challenge to find corn husks here in this non-Hispanic town we live in now, but we finally found them at a specialty store.  Brenden is quite adept at being a chef.  He got a kick out of our new Pampered Chef meat shredder.  It's quite a handy tool.  He did a great job and they turned out WONDERFUL!  Better than either of the batches I made lately! The only problem was they didn't last long enough!
